Visual Diagramsproject

Diagrams are often used to help visualize something however, understanding complex and often abstract CMDB data is challenging especially when dealing with large volumes of information.  Equally difficult is the search for related topographical content.
It is the job of our data visualization tool to simplify the process of selecting and diagramming complex CI data while producing meaningful graphical reporting.

Purpose

Easily visualize complex relationships within your CMDB.
While a  Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is fundamental to ITIL® it is unfortunately complex .  The challenge is implementing and managing CMDB data that rationalizes the inter-relationships of physical assets.

Simplicity is the key:

  • Drag and Drop environment
  • Select CI/Asset (CI and relationship dynamic filtering) drag onto canvas
  • Show/Diagram topographical relationships
  • (Upstream and Downstream)
  • Modify CI relationships
  • Save Diagram
  • Print Diagram
SAP Visualized

SAP Infrastructure

This is an example of a visual diagram created from existing CI records in our CMDB. The IT assets you are looking at represent a corporate SAP installation and shows other linked assets to the Server, database and etc. Creating CI records in our CMDB of any type and linking assets is easily accomplished. The selection of any asset on the canvas will populate the Properties dialog (shown upper right) as well as linked Attributes (shown lower right). Note we can also visualize the Service layer. On this diagram shown is our email server and a HR service.

Facility Resources Visualized

Facility Assets

This is an example of a visual diagram created from existing CI records in our CMDB.  The Facility you are looking at is a building showing related floors and elevators linked to the building.  Creating CI records in our CMDB of any type and linking assets is easily accomplished.

Data Center Resources Visualized

Data Center

This is an example of a visual diagram created from existing CI records within our CMDB.  The Facility you are looking at is a data center showing related equipment racks.  Creating CI records in our CMDB of any type and linking assets is easily accomplished.
